Washington Post columnist Michelle Singletary appeared Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Chris Jansing Reports." Stop Complaining,’ ‘Calm Down’ About Inflation — You Are ‘Not Suffering’

When asked about the people living pay check to pay check, Singletary responded with this:
"You know, you got to stop complaining when there are so many people who literally the inflation rate means they may only have two meals instead of three. There are Americans who did extremely well in the last two years in the market. You still have your job."
Of course, most people were outraged, and she is getting blasted on social media for talking down to everyday working Americans.

Though most people find her comments repulsive, I must admit I am actually happy she said the quiet part out loud. Ms. Singeltary displayed the disconnect between Washington Elites and the average US citizen. More importantly, in this day and age, she showed an even more significant disconnect between mainstream media along with major news outlets and what is supposed to be their target audience. It's almost as if they don't know who will be reading their material. It is becoming increasingly obvious that writers for The NY Times, and The Washington Post, etc., are not writing articles for us, the people. It seems they are writing these articles for the Washington elites they are supposed to inform the public about.
People on social media were pissed, as they should be, but I chuckled a bit. The rest of the country will soon discover what conservatives and independents alike have known for some time. No one represents the people in mainstream media. Furthermore, the people do not have a voice. You are nothing but a useless eater to them, and we she should give thanks just for being able to breathe the same air as them.
If you ever wondered why major news outlets would report or publish fake news and false information even though they are doing it at their own risk, here's why. They are arrogant. They believe that you are capable of thinking for yourself. They look down on you as a human being. This is the real reason why you are told to "shut up and stop complaining." In their world, as long as you have a job, you are serving your purpose in life.
It's the arrogance of the Democratic party that has masses of Black and Latino voters leaving in droves. Soon they will be scratching their heads trying to figure out how and why they lost so many minority voters. Not to mention the working class, middle America, and the moderate Democrats that are ashamed of what their party has become.
